Life in a Glasshouse: Top Ten Tuesday

The Immortal Obsessions

My photo
I'm immortally interested in cultural/literary deconstructions, feminism, anti-racism, South Korea, Supernatural, Sherlock Holmes, Hayao Miyazaki, Diana Wynne Jones, food (including but not limited to maple butter, tomatoes, and toast), fairy tales, parentheses, paper airplanes, films and books.

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesdays is a book meme hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish. This (first) week's Top Ten is the Top Ten Spring TBR list. And go!

My Hope-Tos in No Particular Order:

1. Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore

Bitterblue was my favorite character in Graceling. GIFs could not properly convey my excitement over this finally coming out.

2. Croak by Gina Damico

This concept just reeks of cool. Anything with grim reapers is an automatic win for me.

3. I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga

I love serial killers. I love messed up kids. Put the two together with a dash of Dexter and I'm already salivating.

4. The Wicked and the Just by J. Anderson Coats

Two girls becoming best friends in medieval Wales? I needed this, yesterday.

5. Riders of the Apocalypse by Jackie Morse Kessler

I'm reading every single one of these books by the end of the year. That is all.

6. The Book of Blood and Shadow by Robin Wasserman

I've had a good history with Wasserman, and this sounds just so wonderfully cool. I need to own it.

7. The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa

I wasn't a huge fan of Kagawa's Iron Fey series, but this premise sounds so interesting!

8. Masque of the Red Death by Bethany Griffith

The title! The title! I am honestly reading this for the title, the genre and the cover. Steampunk! Edgar Allen Poe influence!

9. Breaking Beautiful by Jennifer Shaw Wolf

Again, the title. It reminds me of an awesome show I just started, Breaking Bad. If there's anything to be had from the association, it's my anticipation over how good it's going to be.

10. Gone Gone Gone by Hannah Moskowitz

I've heard so many great things about this book and I really hope the tone matches the kind of forlorn, kind of dark look of the cover.
